This gathering will offer a unique opportunity to explore ways we can utilize faith teachings for unity and solidarity, drawing on perspectives from Jewish, Muslim, and Christian traditions. Speakers and organizers include Dr. Kimberly Mayfield, Oakland's former Deputy Mayor; Torah teacher Rebecca Kaplan; Moina Shaiq, Founder of the Muslim Support Network; and Pastor Jim Hopkins, Senior Pastor of Lakeshore Avenue Baptist Church, who provide faith teachings that support interfaith unity and solidarity.
The interfaith solidarity teaching session will begin at noon, include lunch, last approximately one hour, and then be followed by our regular ICAC meeting at 1 pm. Please join us!
